Description:
Doyapada is a tribal Warli Village. The name Doyapada comes from 'Doya' which means bowl, and 'Pada', which means settlement. The village is situated in a valley with hills surrounding it on all sides. The village is self-sufficient. A village that depends on the forest for the majority of its daily needs. The people of Doyapada believe in the cycle that everything that comes from the forest must eventually go back to it. This is reflected in its Architecture. The seasons affect the forest in the smallest manner and, as a result, play a significant role in the lives of the people of Doyapada. Their festivities and traditions all revolve around these seasons.
